Sports Massage Level 3 ITEC - duration 5 taught days
This is a great introduction into a new skill. Sports massage is very popular and effective. It can generally improve a persons sporting skills, by stretching muscles, massaging to preventing injuries, loosening muscles, and many it has many more benefits. This therapy is a great enhancement to the generally massage therapists skills.
The course comprises of:
Unit 451 The Anatomy and Physiology for Sports Massage This section of the course is covered by internet e learning and once you enrol and start your course you will be given a login and you will be able to login for up to 12 months. Your tutor will monitor your e learning progress and any Anatomy & Physiology areas you are unsure you can bring them up in class and it will be fully explained to you.
Unit 452 Principles of Health and Fitness - Assignment
Unit 453 Professional Practice in Sports Massage - Assignment
Unit 454 Understand the Principles of soft Tissue Dysfunction - Assignment and Tutor taught.
Unit 455 Sports Massage Treatment, which includes 5 people with two treatments each. - Evidence and Tutor taught.
If you are already qualified in ITEC Massage or equivalent then you may not need to do your A & P again. Ask for further information if you think this applies to you.
Sessions start at 8.30am to 5.00pm
Students may be required to bring their own couches for this course.
