Aromatherapy ITEC Level 3-duration 6 taught days in total
The Aromatherapy course is a modular extension of the Massage Level 3 Diploma. This course can however be studied in combination with the Massage course and you should contact us for further information if you wish to take the combination option.
During this course we will cover the name of the oils, their plant families, their chemical family, and their relevance to the aromatherapist and their therapeutic uses of over 44 oils including the fixed oils used to dilute the essential oils.
The course consists of :
Unit 382 Provide Aromatherapy for Complementary Therapies
Unit 383 Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies. This section of the course is covered by internet e learning and once you enrol and start your course you will be given a login and you will be able to login for up to 12 months. Your tutor will monitor your e learning progress and any Anatomy & Physiology areas you are unsure you can bring them up in class and it will be fully explained to you.Unit 385 Business Practice for Complementary Therapies

Unit 386 Healthy Eating and Well-Being for Complementary Therapies.
Sessions start at 8.30 and finish at 4/5 p.m.
One additional day is required for the ITEC exams which consists of a one hour multiple choice question paper and 1 hour practical. Students can undertake to qualify in both Massage alongside Aromatherapy. Ask for more details Students may be required to bring their own couches for this course.
Pre -Entry Requirement: Students must be 18 years at the time of the examination, Massage Diploma or an ITEC approved equivalent.
